Paintings that show the texture in old buildings are featured in this gallery. Many of the ideas come from my travels to Europe, particularly Italy where the richness of the sun on old buildings stimulates me to paint.

This painting is a wedding present to a great young couple I know. I have tried to incorporate their European backgrounds and love of the sea into the composition. The red and white lighthouse is a symbol of guidance.
