Scenes of life near the sea and the interaction between the water and clouds form the basis for this gallery. I have ideas to do a series of paintings on patterns along the foreshore: patterns made by water, clouds, sand, rock and grasses.
Oil on canvas. 130cm x 130cm. Unframed. This painting is one of my favourites and was an attempt to create a landscape that emphasised the patterns in nature. I intend to do more of this type. The painting won an award for me: Waverley Arts Society Artist of the Year by Public Choice 2004.

This painting was another exercise in painting the sea which is a real challenge in its various moods. I have continued to tackle painting the sea in other paintings such as "Dockland Developments", "The Dekk" and "The Studdio".
