The Fence Post

Oil on canvas. 30cm x 30 cm. Framed. A tiny painting that took me weeks to get right. First I wanted to recreate in a style that in some way resembled the work by Albrecht Durer "A Great Piece of Turf". I then wanted to learn how to paint rain drops on barbed wire - so much a part of the winter scenery in Central Victoria where I grew up.
