The Valley

Oil on canvas. 68cm x 100cm. Framed. Done in the style of Pieter Bruegel the Elder (1525 - 1569) who was a Flemish Renaissance painter known for his landscapes and peasant scenes. The first draft my painting 'The Valey' had the peasants included going about their daily activities. In a wild moment I removed the peasants to make the painting a landscape. A print of the original concept with the peasants included is available.
