Growing Creativity

Yesterday I was chatting about developing creativity in children. Of course it applies to adults as well. We could all be a little more creative and the world would be a better place. Today I want to continue to encourage everyone to look around them and observe the world we live in. Overwhelmed? Too much to take in? Haven’t got the time? Just take a moment to look at the next tree you walk past. Take a quick moment to look at the pattern in the bark on the trunk. Isn’t it amazing? If you have a baby on your hip point out the shapes to him or her. “Look Archie the tree has lines & circles & squiggly shapes to make a pattern”. That’s all it takes to plant the creativity seed. Here are some photos I’ve taken of the variety of patterns in our trees. Be amazed at how creative nature is. All we have to do is observe and copy.
