Monday's Feature Art Work: Amazing Sculptures

I wanted to do something completely different for our Feature Art Work for this week.

I decided to look for some outstanding examples of sculpture throughout the world. I searched for green sculptures because for me green is a healing colour and there are so many ways that we all need to be healed at the moment.

I found the Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau (Quebec, Canada) and a green goddess in the form of Mother Nature.

This sculpture is completely crafted from plants. The impressive Mother Nature sculpture and water feature (at the top of the page) looks as though she’s risen straight up from the earth. Expect to hear a few spontaneous shouts of “Moana!” when you visit – the nearly 15m tall sculpture looks a bit like the character Te Fiti from the Disney movie Moana, making it one of the most popular attractions in the park.* (Credit: kidsnews.com.au)
