Accountants & Web Architects with Artistic Hearts

As our world fights being drowned in technology and numbers, in computer screens, in dollars- please leave a huge space in your heart to see the beauty in the natural world around you.

When I first got to know my web architect Matt Cameron many years ago I was thrilled to see his Facebook entries about his garden. I knew this was the right person to look after my web site. An expert in the technological field, yes, but a man with the soul of an artist. This week one of his posts is this glorious lily. A stunning photo.

Similarly my wonderful accountant has just posted as part of her Facebook cover, this magnificent tree with a flash of light.

The young in our society are glued to their phones scrolling through hundreds of images on Instagram. They share humorous pictures, cute pictures, poignant pictures, glorious pictures and this is good. I encourage anyone who is interested in looking at images and talking about images. BUT do they walk past a beautiful flower or magnificent tree? Hopefully some of them are looking at the real plant.

As I said yesterday I love painting grass. I'm obsessive about taking photos of grass so here are a few for you to enjoy.

I have to stop. I'm getting carried away. Tomorrow definitely botanical illustration and botanical art featuring some fantastic pen and ink by a friend of mine.
