Stopping to Remember Our Volunteer Firefighters

Large numbers of our firefighters and support personnel are volunteers, many of whom have been fighting the bushfires ravaging Australia for several months.

Yesterday, two of our dedicated and courageous volunteers died when a tree fell on their truck causing the firetanker to roll off the road. The other members of the team escaped serious injury.

Both firefighters who died were young married family men.

Please take some time to remember these two courageous firefighters and all those people who are engaged in protecting and caring for us.
