Town San Gimignano The subject matter came from my travels in Italy where the ancient walls offer a wonderful opportunity to recreate the textures on buildings that time has produced. Anything Italian is very popular with the art audience. Available as a print.
Town All About the WaterMill The second of a pair of paintings depicting water mills. The idea came from an old photo of mills I took while travelling in France in the 1980s. In this painting I tried to create a sense of a community of buildings grouped around the function of running a mill.

Town A Little Bit of Italy Inspired by a photo of some cats on a wall in an Italian village visited whilst travelling in Europe. It was one of my first attempts to render the rich texture found on European buildings and walls. Available as a print.
Town The Old Watermill The idea to paint water mills came from an old photo of mills I took while travelling in France in the 1980s. The walls are so rich with the passing of time and I had a wonderful time creating the texture. The water lilies were added to give a touch of colour.
