What are kinetic paper sculptures??

Today we look at the creativity of three artists who work very differently with paper to create movable sculptures.........

The first is a 22 year old student, Low Zi Hao, in Singapore, who configures movable paper sculptures out of cubes that he makes himself!

It all started with a school project.....

Transforming paper into kinetic sculptures
What can you do with a piece of paper? For 22-year-old Low Zi Hao, the possibilities are endless. The NTU School of Art, Design and Media student has created a sizeable social media following with his mesmerising paper kinetic structures. Mr Low says he hopes to scale up his projects

Then there is Felix Semper, a Cuban American artist, who creates very different sculptures that also move ........ again, using only paper and glue 2......

And lastly, there is kinetic origami, known as kirigami, such as that created by Ekaterina Lukashiva, in California, USA. Once again, her sculptures are made purely with paper and mathematical precision1 ...........

We hope you enjoyed looking at three forms of creativity using only paper, maths and sometimes glue.........plus plenty of patience! There are many more fascinating artists and varieties of kinetic sculpture if you wish to Google those words, or kirigami!
